Private Lessons are good for dogs that have not been socialized with other dogs or people. Or if you have a dog that has a specific issue you would like to address. Some examples are housetraining, jumping, pulling on a leash, nipping and chewing
Puppy classes are for puppies between the ages of 10 weeks and 5 months. This class will meet for 8 weeks. Some of the topics in this class are house training, nipping and chewing, jumping, socialization, household manners, crate training, and basic obedience (sit, down, come, stay, take it, leave it, drop it and loose leash walking). We will also do some clicker training and learn a trick.
Intermediate classes are for dogs that have completed either the Puppy or the Beginner classes. If you dog has had previous training elsewhere we will evaluate your dog to determine if the Intermediate class is appropriate. This class will meet for 8 weeks. We will review the commands learned in the Puppy or Beginner classes and build on them. Wait, heel, and stand are some of the commands which will be covered. A new trick will be learned.
Group Lessons are great for puppies or dogs that are not aggressive towards other dogs. The group classes consist of Puppy, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) exam is also available.
Beginner classes are for dogs older than 5 months. This class will meet for 8 weeks. We cover the same topics as in the Puppy class the only difference is the age.
Advanced classes are offered for dogs interested in becoming Canine Good Citizens. We will focus on the 10 requirements of the exam. This class will meet for 6 weeks. On the last day of class the exam will be given.
